Before we really get started with the new year, let's take a moment to recap 2022.
After two years without international seminars and international cooperative exchange at beautiful Montabaur castle, ADG had the pleasure to welcome participants from many different countries in 2022!
Leaders from central banks and cooperatives, including representatives from both financial and agriculture cooperatives participated in 15 individual seminars. They travelled from as far as Brazil, Bangladesh or Paraguay but also from within Europe to learn about economy, cooperatives and challenges in Germany and to exchange with peers and other professionals.
Participants experienced that despite the “new normal” being much more virtual it was an asset to meet in person, getting to know the professional and cultural environment themself on site and to build bonds/networks eye to eye to have a different learning experience.
The main focus of any international seminar directed to professionals is to provide insights into specific topics (e.g. leadership, strategy, risk management) by linking practice-oriented seminar and knowledge parts with active expert exchange and site visits to respective institutions.
Thanks to the hospitality and openness of our cooperative partners, participants could visit a number of diverse institutions and get a first-hand impression. Reactions on both sides were very positive and the exchange is much appreciated from international guests and German cooperatives.
Also for ADG, it was a joy to our colleagues to see the campus being filled with cooperative representatives from everywhere and to be reminded of the impact such a learning exchange can have during and outside any seminar.
For 2023, we are hoping for the best and are already planning the next round of seminars.
